| Position Description |
|
The Regional Sales Manager will be responsible for managing all activities within their territory, with sales of Smiths Detection Hazmat equipment being the primary role. Must be self-motivated, self-sufficient and willing to travel (minimum of 60%).
Specifically, the Regional Sales Manager will:
•Direct sales of Smiths Detection Hazmat equipment and exceed sales goal within territory
•Must show competency with technologies, GC/MS, Raman, FTIR, IMS, Bio Assay, PCR and Radiation Detectors
•Provide demos at customer's site, participating in trade-shows and supporting regional workshops and trainings
•Daily maintenance of sales database and forecasting system
•Work within divisions travel budgets
•Provide feedback from the field weekly with regard to both demos results and competitive situations
•Comply with and ensure department compliance with Company health, safety and environmental policies.
•Comply with all applicable U.S. export control and security regulations.
•Other duties as required.

| Requirements |
|
•B.S. level or higher college
•Must possess strong sales skills and have a proven record of success.
•10+ years field sales experience with similar technology and to current customer base preferred.
•Familiar with the advanced technology listed above and the requirements of HazMat teams a plus.
•Ability to work with other departments within the division.
•Knowledge of territory preferred.
•Able to resolve territory situations as needed.
•Able to lift equipment weights of up to 70 pounds.
Must be a US Citizen and eligible for a US DoD Security Clearance.
